Botulinum toxin and fillers hardly have any really unpleasant side effects. For decades, Botulinum toxin and fillers have been extensively tested for effectiveness, side effects and complications. After passing long testing phases and extensive experience with the products, they have been found to be extremely safe for treating wrinkles and volume recovery in the face. Our Botulinum toxin and fillers are approved by the U.S. Department of Health (FDA) based on effectiveness and safety.
After treatment with Botulinum toxin or fillers, the face may show some swelling, redness or itching locally. This disappears on its own within 1-2 hours. The small needles can in exceptional cases cause a small bruise, which is gone within a few days. In general, it is actually not visible that you have been treated, it is therefore also called the ‘lunchtime treatment’.
With each injection, there is a small chance of an allergic reaction or infection. Experience shows that these risks are negligible (less than 0.1%) and have no impact on the result. Very rarely, treatment of the forehead may lead to the temporary lowering of the eyelid. This will automatically go away. In exceptional cases, the filler may superficially shine through something blue. This is very rare and usually goes away on its own.
Some people are afraid of getting a ‘frozen face’, or ‘poker face’. At Injectables Clinic, the doctors work according to international guidelines and use a safe dosage that is effective, but leaves your characteristic mimicry intact.
